Retractors

Retractors are essential surgical instruments that provide clear visualization of the operative field by holding tissues apart, allowing easier access to deep structures and bone during orthopedic procedures. Without adequate retraction, surgical exposure becomes limited and tissue handling more difficult.

In orthopedic practice, retractors are generally classified into two main categories:

Self-Retaining Retractors
